A Masquerade Night – We had a great time, did you?

This is us.... hope you can join us at our next event!

On Sunday 12th February, our first Venetian inspired Masquerade party took place at The Convent Garden Cocktail Club.

With a wonderful team of staff and volunteers, who worked hard to organise and promote the evening, we were excited to finally get to dress up and see the inspiring masks everyone had chosen to wear.

Arriving early, IBP staff and volunteers spent time decorating the venue with streams of material and mood lighting, for that romantic, Venetian look. The bar was filled with spare masks – so no one was left out, and a special cocktail menu was created with £1 from each cocktail bought going straight to Inspired By People.

Guests began arriving from 7:30pm and soon enough the venue was filled up. 100% of the price of every ticket bought went to Inspired By People, and will go to directly benefit the following projects:

1. The trauma recovery centre and its outreach programmes in West Nepal, supporting women and children affected by trauma, conflict and mental health difficulties.

2. Building a pre-school in Malawi that will offer education and a daily nutritious lunch to 50 children.

First up was the amazing DJ Hughie who put on an engaging performance with a spontaneous request from a lady called Steph who asked if she could sing to Nivana’s “Smells like Teen Spirit”. Steph’s performance was incredible and applauded by the staff and guests.
Next up was The Kosmic Troubadour who put on a brilliant and passionate performance wearing funky glasses and playing a very colourful keyboard.

We have some fabulous photos of the performers by our two professional photographers of the night – Will Rees and Neal Houghton.

We were also lucky to have a third photographer, Desmond Nelson, who set up his equipment upstairs in order to take formal photos of our guests, which guests were then able to purchase as a memento of the evening.

A quick break allowed the announcement of our business card draw and our beautiful Limited Designer Bag designed by Emily Sims which was available to buy.
The lucky winner of the business card draw was Alessandro Rovati who won Amway anti-wrinkle serum, two personal training vouchers, one float session and one Nepalese Tea pack worth a total of over £165!

Last up out of our brilliant performers was DJ Keiran, who rounded off a successful evening and kept everyone dancing into the night.
We are so grateful to all our guests and everyone who participated along the way. We raised a total of £418 and are so thankful that we could put on another successful event!

With special thanks to:
