Ascot Polo and Inspired By People

It’s Saturday morning, 10th September and IBP team is on the way to Ascot Park for its first ever Polo tournament. Well, we didn’t participate as such, but we were watching the Polo securely from a distance while promoting the charity amongst all spectators and Polo players.

We were fortunate enough that Ascot Park had offered us a promotional stand during the Pro Am City Championships, for which we are very thankful.

After the initial set up of the stand with all our lovely Raffle prizes that were kindly donated by various companies and people (see list below ), the three volunteers were ready for the crowds and to promote the charity.

We were able to watch the whole tournament from our stand as well, which was a great experience. So far we only had seen the Polo in movies on TV like Pretty Woman. Thus it was very exciting to see it live – it’s amazing how the Polo players were racing from one side to the other on their horse while still hitting the ball towards their goal!

During the breaks, we talked to guests about Inspired By People and sold raffle tickets. At the end of the day after the Polo, we announced the lucky winners of the generously donated prices, including an experience day of Polo and dancebuzz Taster Classes!

We would like to thank everyone who donated something and bought raffle tickets. You can be sure that all your money is going directly towards our projects in India, Malawi and Nepal!

We also hoped that you enjoyed the day at the Polo with us – we definitely did!
