Trek Nepal

Join us this year on Trek Nepal! A challenging 6-day trek through the foothills of the Himalayas in aid of Inspired By People and their projects in Nepal.

 

Itinerary

Day 1: We pick you up from the airport in Kathmandu and bring you to the hotel where we will be staying for the night. You have some time to look around this beautiful old town. In the evening we have a welcomes dinner with the group.

Day 2: We take a flight to Pokhara where our partnering organisation is based; a beautiful lake town with a view on the Anapurna mountain range (Himalayas). There is time to explore the city, take a rowing boat onto the lake or simply take some time for yourself. After dinner with the founder of Kopila Nepal we stay the night at a lovely guesthouse.

Day 3- 7: We wake up early to take a bus that brings us to our starting point of the trek. Your luggage stays behind in the guesthouse and you will bring a small backpack for the next 6 days. We eat and stay with local families in the remote villages we pass through, this offers a real opportunity to get to know more about their culture and ways of living.

Day 8: We arrive back in Pokhara where you have the day to relax, shower and enjoy a quiet walk or perhaps a massage. In the evening we have dinner in a Tibetan restaurant.

Day 9: We fly back to Kathmandu where we stay our last night in a hotel. You have time to buy souvenirs, visit a temple or wander around. We finish the journey with a nice final group dinner.

Day 10: Flights back home

 

Costs

You pay: £100 to sign up, you pay another £495 afterwards to cover your expenses in Nepal and you arrange your own international flight. 

You raise:  A minimum of £750 from sponsorship and other activities. The full amount goes to our projects in Nepal, so the more you can raise the better!
